From 21.30 on the terraces of each location, the Associazione Astrofili Veneti and the Associazione  Astronomica  Cortina will be available to fans and the merely curious to observe stars with their telescopes .As always, the association Astrofili Veneti  will be with us on the evening of 10 August, they will bring five telescopes for the three refuges (Scoiattoli-Averau-Lagazuoi), two telescopes will be installed on Lagazuoi, two at Averau, while at the Scoiattoli there will be a telescope. From that last location there will also be the “live web” through the channels of Google+.

Always from the Scoiattoli they will use a laser pointer to point out the constellations and help the audience to its recognition.

Celestial objects we’re going to see will be:

M13 which is the great globular cluster in the constellation of Hercules
M57 planetary nebula in the constellation Lyra
M27 planetary nebula in the constellation Vulpecula
M97 globular cluster in Hercules
M51 spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici
M106 spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici
Albireo, a beautiful double star in the constellation Cygnus
The double open cluster in the constellation Perseus in the same
M108 galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major
M63 galaxy “sunflower” in the constellation Canes Venatici
Open cluster NGC 7160 in the constellation of Cepheus
The planet Neptune
Large spiral galaxy M31 in the constellation of Andromeda that is visible to the naked eye, amateur astronomers explain its recognition.

During the observations, the laser will explain how to find the North Star, referring to the stars of the constellations nearby. However, the sky will be so bright as to make us see the whole Via Lactea from sunrise to sunset, while many other celestial objects will be focused according to the conditions of transparency of the sky

Children Program at Goblets of Stars in the Malga Peziè de Parù:

15.00: IL MUSEO INCANTA – Diving in the landscape … starry. My name is Meridiana
What is it hiding behind the myriad of lights we see shine in the sky at night? What are the stars made of and why they light? An ancient legend of the Dolomites  tells of the marriage of the nymph Merisana with the King of the Rays. Get to know this story and the star that is inspired, eventually building a sundial!

16.15: Afternoon snack for all children with the delights of the Pastry Chef Dario Loison and his Panettone even in summer.

16.45: IL MUSEO INCANTA – Diving in the landscape … starry One, two, three, stars!
The starry sky has always had the power to capture the attention and inspire wonder. What has driven the ancient peoples to populate the sky of animals, objects and heroes? Between mythology and science, we exercise our imagination and we group the stars to form our own constellation!

18.00: The world of Giauli by Alessandra Mauro and Alessandra Piller Cottrer for the happiness of children and adults.
We know the world of Giauli led by Nonno Giusto, in the fields where they love to play and entertain theirselves in endless Pic Nic. Be curious and kind, the Giauli love people who respect nature and have the sensitivity of a deer or a rabbit. We wait you with joy!
